This lecture will introduce attendees to the Judeo-Persian musical tradition through recorded music, performed examples, and musical analysis. Dr. Dardashti's grandfather, Younes Dardashti, was one of the most famous singers of Persian classical music; this family history and her own artistic work (www.galeetdardashti.com) are central to this presentation.
