The College of Arts and Sciences receives gifts in a variety of forms, furthering our mission of teaching, research, and service. The University of Kentucky operates on a fiscal year of July 1 to June 30, with tax credits based on that timeline. Gifts to the College of Arts and Sciences are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Credit Card Gifts: Donors can make a one-time or recurring credit card gift to the College through the University's secure online giving platform. Gifts can be made to the Arts and Sciences Excellence Fund, the College's discretionary fund, or a specific department or area within the College. The Academic Excellence Fund supports the greatest and unforeseen needs in the College.
Stock: Gifts of appreciated stock can be a tax-advantaged way to provide immediate support for the College. Rather than being sold first, stock shares should be contributed directly to the University to avoid significant capital gains. For more details on gifts of stock, click here.
Estate and Planned Gifts: Gifts established through an estate or planned gift allow donors to make transformational gifts and create a personal legacy in the College. Whether constructed as a will arrangement, through a life-income gift such as a charitable gift annuity or trust, or perhaps via a life insurance policy or retirement account, planned gifts of any amount greatly benefit our mission. For detailed information, visit the University of Kentucky’s gift and estate planning webpage.
Payroll Deduction for UK Employees: Faculty and staff can give to the College through payroll deduction, which automatically deducts a chosen amount each pay period to benefit the area of the College or fund designated. Click here to set up a gift through payroll deduction.
Matching Gifts: Many companies match employee gifts to the College. This process magnifies the impact of your gift. Each company follows a different donor-initiated matching process. To determine if your employer will match your Arts and Sciences donation, visit the University’s matching gift link.
