Research

Current research as part of the STAR Experiment at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC), focuses on fundamental understanding of the structure of the proton. Researching how particles in highly-energetic interactions collimate into jets, then subsequently fragment, can tell us the quark and gluon makeup of the proton itself.

Additional work is being done in the application of machine-learning algorithms to particle physics analysis (specifically, the Omnifold Algorithm utilizing the Python Keras package).
