Daphne Arnold

Education:
B.S. Psychology - University of Evansville
M.Ed Counseling and Personnel Services - College Student Personnel - University of Louisville
Biography:

Daphne Arnold started her journey to the College of Arts and Sciences at 6 years old when she loved school so much that she cried on the last day of 1st grade instead of cheering like her classmates!

After graduating from the University of Evansville with a psychology degree, Daphne traveled for her national sorority.  She visited chapters in 26 states, helping them problem solve and focused on recruitment and daily operations.  After her contract was up with her first position, she worked for a community based organization that partnered with the Department of Child Services and Juvenile Probation in Indiana.

Daphne decided to pursue a Master's degree in College Student Personnel and was lead to Kentucky.  Working with the Student Activities Board at the University of Louisville helped her build a foundation of student support and mentoring.  After graduation from that program, Daphne accepted a position at the University of Kentucky in Residence Life. Overseeing up to 700+ students in two of campus' largest residence halls, Daphne learned to love the UK Wildcats and has gleaned information about what campus has to offer.  Daphne’s favorite spots on campus include the School of Pharmacy’s lobby, the new Gatton Student Center, and any of the campus eateries.

Daphne serves as a Sentor on UK's Staff Senate.  She also is excited to continue to work with Exploratory students by being the College's Exploratory Advisor.  If there are ways she can help you explore majors here at UK, please do not hesitate to reach out to her.  Daphne teaches A&S 150, a course designed to help students hone personal and academic decision making skills.

A Hoosier native, Daphne has lived and worked in Kentucky for the past 10 years.  On the weekends you'll find her hanging out with her partner at community events, playing with her Kindergartener, taking frequent naps, and cheering on her favorite sports teams.
