Hall of Fame Nominations


The College of Arts & Sciences will induct its next group of exceptional alumni and emeriti faculty into the College of Arts & Sciences Hall of Fame in the fall of 2024.

Induction into the College of Arts & Sciences Hall of Fame is reserved for outstanding individuals who demonstrate the foundational importance of a liberal arts and sciences education and who have made a significant mark on their professions, communities, and the University of Kentucky.

We are pleased to invite alumni, friends, faculty, and staff of the university to nominate distinguished individuals to be considered for the 2024 College of Arts & Sciences Hall of Fame ceremony. Please click on the links below to nominate Arts & Sciences alumni and/or emeriti faculty. Please be as thorough and specific as possible.

The College of Arts & Sciences Hall of Fame Awards Selection Committee will review all nominations in confidence. Individuals not selected will be under active consideration for two Hall of Fame cycles.

 

Nomination Criteria

Alumni Criteria

  • Alumni nominees must have earned a degree (undergraduate or graduate) from the University of Kentucky College of Arts & Sciences.

  • Alumni nominees must have reached and remained at the pinnacle of their field for a period sufficient to demonstrate perseverance and maturation and/or must have affected a positive impact on their chosen field of study and/or profession.

  • Professional success and significant contributions are demonstrated in the merit of the nominee’s work in their chosen field of endeavor and professional leadership.

Emeriti Faculty Criteria

  • Faculty nominees must be a professor emeritus/a of the University of Kentucky College of Arts & Sciences.

  • Faculty nominees must have been retired from full-time faculty positions for at least three years prior to nomination.

  • Record of research or teaching excellence.

  • Professional leadership as demonstrated by a record of sustained and significant impact on students and the UK community.
